Does your phone tell you your total daily screen time?
If not, be wary. Because most people, on average, spend over 3 hours a day on their phones. As a self-avowed smartphone-phobic (I begrudgingly got one to better manage clients) that number scares the dickens outta me. Because that 3+ hours doesn't count time in front of the computer... or tv... or tablet... When you add up those, the average is more like 12 hours a day. Yikes. This is scary for civilians. But it should be even more startling to the entrepreneurs in the crowd. Because if you're like me, you didn't start a business to be glued to your computer. You started a business to give you freedom from it. And freedom from it, means focusing on the things you do best. Which, for most people, isn't writing copy (or the more annoying and equally time-sucking editing of a sub-par copywriter on your team). Especially because time in front of a screen doesn't mean 'peak performance'. Often, time in front of a screen means stress. Which means a sore neck... and tight shoulders... and a burning lower back. But here's the truth: If you're dedicated to your business, some of these things are simply growing pains. No pain, no gain so to speak. But you shouldn't force yourself to do it always. Unless you like writing copy, hire it out when you can. It doesn't have to be me. In fact, if I'm not right for you, message me and I will tell you what I'd look for in a copywriter. I may even be able to connect you with someone in my network.
